Center of Excellence For Sustainable Infrastructure and Structural Testing
The Center will conduct education, outreach, research, implementation, testing, analytical and field investigative services as described by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The Center will support MDOT by providing critical knowledge and services related to research, operations, or policy. The center's objective is to be a resource to MDOT towards advancing the durability of highway structures in Michigan and development of sustainable infrastructure. The natural approach to this would be to find solutions in advanced research results on materials, design, construction, repair and maintenance of highway structures in order to decrease the frequency of maintenance cycles and prolong service life.
