SPR-3717: Streambank Stabilization Alternatives to Riprap
This project will identify and characterize techniques that can be used to stabilize streambanks in an environmentally sensitive yet cost-effective manner. This project will review the relevant literature and assess the performance of approaches previously taken at various INDOT sites as the basis for providing guidance in the choice of the context-dependent best technique(s). Results will provide the basis for updating the relevant portions of the INDOT design manual and standard specifications.
