Evaluating Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSM&O) Benefits to Alternative Intersection Treatments

The project objectives include: (1) Evaluation of best practices and advantages/disadvantages of proposed treatments. (2) Prepare an evaluation matrix to assess the benefits/disadvantages of alternative treatments including (area type, right of way, interaction with pedestrians/bicyclists, way-finding, signal timing, cost/benefit and design characteristics). (3) Develop guidelines and design characteristics for placement of alternative treatments.
