The overall objective of the project is to optimize the inspection and maintenance of bridges containing fracture critical members with respect to cost, without compromising safety, while meeting the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) rules, provisions, and policies.
