Traffic Detection Systems Performance Evaluation
This project will be testing the detection systems currently being used by the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) for accuracy. The best performers in terms of minimum delay and maximum safety will be quantified. The outcome of the research will provide guidance for the development of a performance based specification for traffic detection equipment. This will eliminate poor performing equipment from the state system.
