Develop Epoxy Grout Pourback Guidance and Test Methods to Eliminate Thermal/Shrinkage Cracking at Post-Tensioning Anchorages, Phase 2

The goal of this research is to develop best practices for pourback construction. The primary objectives are to develop epoxy grout pourback guidance and test methods to eliminate thermal/shrinkage cracking at post-tensioning anchorages. The research is intended to: (1) Determine factors that can contribute to cracking of the most used epoxy grout in the Qualified Product List. (2) Produce guidelines to minimize the probability of cracking of epoxy grout pourbacks. (3) Recommend crack investigation methods and limits of acceptability. (4) Indicate specific tests that would be used to evaluate and approve epoxy grouts used for pourbacks of post-tensioning anchorages.
