Repair of Impact Damaged Utility Poles with Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP), Phase II

The objective of this project is to develop guidelines for the use of externally-bonded fiber reinforced polymers (FRPs) in the repair of impact-damaged utility poles. These guidelines will cover damage assessment, material selection, required bond lengths, wrap configurations, and FRP installation procedures. In order to accomplish these goals, several large and small-scale tests will be conducted involving both damaged and undamaged mast arms, sign structures and high-mast light poles.
