SPR-3815: Establishing Modeling Standards for Bridges and Culverts
The main objective of this project is to develop an objective way of selecting a bridge or culvert for a given waterway crossing project. This objective will be accomplished through a combination of data analysis, computational modeling and laboratory studies. The project deliverables include a literature review of culvert and bridge design as documented in FHWA design manuals and HEC-RAS and a report detailing the scope of the study, methodology and the findings to help agencies objectively select bridge or culvert design for a given project.
