Computational Structural Mechanics

Computational Structural Mechanics is used for the assessment of many safety issues that are of major concern to the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). High-performance computers (HPCs) designed to run modeling simulations allow researchers to create models of test situations such as vehicle crashes or bridge limits.
