Advanced Ground Penetrating Radar System Project
The objective of this project is to provide funding to the University of Vermont for the Advanced Ground Penetrating Radar System project. The research is divided into three main projects. The first project is a technology implementation effort aimed at using a vehicle mounted multi-antenna ground penetrating radar (GPR) system for the high-speed automated assessment of bridge deck condition. The second project is a set of fundamental research studies that aim to develop GPR systems that used advanced high-frequency and off-axis scattering techniques. The third project looks at robotic mobilization of GPR systems. These projects are defined in terms of 16 main tasks and will take three years to complete.
