Travel Time Assessment of Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Systems
The objective of the proposed project is to utilize advanced detection devices to measure travel times along three study corridors (Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery). The devices will be deployed prior to the implementation of adaptive traffic signal control (ATSC) systems and used to perform detailed before-after studies of travel times along the three study corridors. The proposed project and its results will be used to supplement the ongoing Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Operational and Safety Evaluation of Adaptive Traffic Signal Control project (UTCA #12402).
