Missouri Transportation Institute

The objective of this project is to enable the Missouri Transportation Institute to engage in alternative sources of energy to power transit vehicles. The Institute supports (1) implementation of an electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) demonstration project in partnership with the City of Kansas City and KokamAmerica, Incorporated and (2) expansion of the on-going research project that integrates hydrogen-powered shuttle buses into a rural transportation commuter service between the City of Rolla, Missouri and the Fort Leonard Wood military installation.
