Effects of Chemical and Mineral Admixtures on Performance of Florida Structural Concrete

The objectives of the research are to: (1) investigate the effects of chemical and mineral admixture combinations on the fresh and hardened properties of cement mixes; (2) evaluate the compatibility of selected combinations of portland cement and mineral and chemical admixtures; (3) examine the relationship between composite heat of hydration for cement-admixture combinations and the potential for thermal cracking; and (4) assess the effects of cement-admixture combinations on the strength and durability of structural concrete elements.
