Mechanistic-Empirical (M-E) Design, Implementation & Monitoring for Flexible Pavements

Mechanistic-Empirical (M-E)-based flexible pavement design concepts and procedures were developed in previous IHR Projects (IHR-510 and IHR-527) and have been implemented by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). IDOT continues to support a variety of M-E design, implementation and monitoring activities. The objective of this project is for University of Illinois staff to continue to provide technical support and cooperate with IDOT in these activities.
