Improvement of IDOT Bridge Scour Estimation Method at Sites with Cohesive Soils Using SRICOS Zmax - Phase 2

The SRICOS Zmax is the equilibrium maximum contraction and pier scour of cohesive soils over time as determined by the Bridges, Scour Rate in Cohesive Soils (SRICOS) method. This "upper limit" of scour prediction can be used for sites where application of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) cohesive soil reduction-factor method is difficult or provides questionable results.
