Evaluating All-Weather Pavement Markings & Lab Methods to Simulate Field Exposure

This project provides the opportunity to evaluate the performance of various all-weather pavement markings to determine their performance and recommend whether or not they should be approved for application on Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) roadways. The research will require the evaluation of in service all-weather pavement markings and the development of laboratory test methods that simulate degradation mechanisms in the field.
