An Analytical and Experimental Study on Widespread Fatigue Damage in Aircraft Fuselage Curved Panels

This project is focused on establishing a Fellowship program between the Federal Aviation Administration Technical Center (FAATC) and Drexel University, to promote a joint collaboration between FAATC professional personnel, Drexel faculty, and graduate students, performing experimental and analytical work on the subject of Widespread Fatigue damage (WFD) in aircraft structures. The work, based at the FAATC, will be performed by two Drexel graduate students, who will apply it as a partial fulfillment toward earning a PhD degree.
