Measurements of Seasonal Changes and Spatial Variation in Pavement Subgrade Support Properties - A Link to Pavement Performance

This project will work closely with Embankment Quality TR492. The embankment quality research program is looking at improving performance of the embankment system, however, field testing has not focused adequately on season changes and spatial variation of the subgrade material directly supporting the pavement system - particularly in terms of developing an understanding of the key engineering parameters that will affect reliability based analysis of pavement performance.
