Develop Statewide Design Standards and Specifications Manuals for Public Improvements

The work plan involves the administration of the SUDAS program, revisions to the SUDAS Design and Specification manuals, and SUDAS related research. Program administration and maintenance of the manuals will be funded by the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa cities, and Iowa counties. Research projects yielding revisions to the SUDAS manuals will be funded by outside sources such as the Iowa Highway Research Board and the Iowa Dept. of Transportation.
