Safe Routes to School
The purpose of this project is to effectively and efficiently reach K-8 schools and administer the required planning, education, encouragement, enforcement, and evaluation aspects of the Federal Safe Routes to School (FSRTS) program. The FSRTS program, created through federal legislations in 2005, provides funding to states to help enable and encourage children, including those with disabilities, to walk or bicycle to school.
