Moving from Interesting to Implementable Models for Efficient Transportation Systems Management - Breaking Through the Computing Barrier
This research proposes to extend a decade or more of research in parallel and distributed computing architecture to work on transportation problems falling into the general category of network design, but with time scales that range from real-time to quasi-real time to quarterly or annual planning. It is proposed to extend this work to many other operational problems.
