Onboard Monitoring Field Operation Test
This effort will develop and evaluate an onboard monitoring system that measures driving characteristics that indicate unsafe driving behavior. A prototype suite of technologies provides real-time driving performance feedback to a commercial motor vehicle driver and/or carrier management via a roll-up report for discussion with the driver. This system has the potential to improve drivers' attentiveness and enhance their safety performance.
