Bio-based Fuels
This research project will study enzyme technology with emphasis on enzymatic processing of polysaccharies. The project will conduct studies of glycan hydrolases to better understand how they function; find new methods to regulate their specificity and new application for the production of value-added products. Specifically, enzamtic saccharification of cellulose as well as the conversion of biomass poly saccharides debranching enzymes in industry. The project will also study th fermentation processes for production of biofuels and value -added products.
