ICT Management and Administration

This research project has seven tasks. The tasks are: (1) Recruit and supervise staff in carrying out the research, education and outreach mission of the Illinois Center for Transportation. (2) Encourage and support the submission of innovative transportation research ideas and proposals to meet the State of Illinois' and Illinois Department of Transportation's (IDOT's) research and technology transfer needs. (3) Identify or recruit researchers at the University of Illinois and/or partner universities, private consultants, etc., to perform desired transportation research. (4) Work with University of Illinois offices, as needed, to set up IDOT/ICT research projects, accounts, subawards, consulting contracts; pay researchers salary and expenses; and secure timely IDOT reimbursement for expenses. (5) Provide regular progress reports to the ICT Executive Committee and IDOT management on research projects, funds, issues, etc. (6) Provide education and outreach regarding Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT) research, findings, conclusions, achievements, etc. (7) Provide administrative support for the ICT Technical Review Committees, as requested.
