Training Course for the Stochastic Empirical Loading and Dilution Model

Application and use of water quality models and their results depend on the user's understanding of the model theory and application to real world and unique situations. Acceptance and use of the model depends on the formation of a group of users who are familiar with the model, how it works and when to use it. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will develop the documents and training modules necessary to define and implement the Stochastic Empirical Loading and Dilution Model (SELDM).
