Crash Analysis Plug-Ins for Desktop Applications

The objective of this research is to facilitate the process used by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) employees to integrate crash data into existing safety-related selection criteria and decision-making. This research will produce modularized plug-ins for Excel and ArcMap to allow users to obtain crash counts, rates, and expected crashes for any state-maintained roadway section and for a variety of predefined criteria (roadway departure, nighttime crashes, etc.).
