Evaluate Polish Resistance and Skid-Related Performance of Native Kentucky Aggregate

The objectives of this project are as follows: (1) Review available historical skid data and material properties available for asphalt surfaces, using native Kentucky aggregates; (2) Compare available crash data for roadways utilizing native Kentucky aggregates; (3) Compare the performance of Kentucky's traditional polish resistant aggregate surfaces with those which may be constructed with native aggregates; and (4) Develop modified aggregate specifications as necessary.
