Continued Support and Monitoring of LA710 Phase II
Work in the current Partnered Pavement Research Center (PPRC) contract has supported the application of the design and construction methods used on Phase I of rehabilitation of I-710 to the northern part of the freeway from Long Beach to Alhambra. This work has consisted of field testing, pavement design, and construction and traffic impact analyses using CA4PRS. This work has also included laboratory testing to check the asphalt mix designs for the project, and the new PG binder used for this project. Continued work in the proposed PPRC contract will include additional analyses and testing requested by Caltrans as requested. This will include special tests related to the Standard Special Provision requirements, construction considerations, and post-construction evaluations.
