STAR Community Index 2011 Summit
This task provides funding to co-sponsor a National Summit to address the issue of roadway safety from a culture perspective. There is a need to change the fundamental safety culture of the nation, both in the unsafe behaviors of individuals, but also the actions of society in giving greater priority to the tragic loss of life occurring on our highways. This National Summit will provide a forum where leading safety experts and advocates from across the country will participate in focused discussions to help identify and address critical concerns and knowledge gaps in traffic safety culture.
