e-FAROS: Enhanced Final Approach Runway Occupancy Signal
e-FAROS uses the Runway Status Lights (RWSL) platform to provide a visual warning to pilots on final approach that the intended runway is occupied and unsafe for landing. It does this by flashing the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) lights.
