Ballast Water Technology Testing on East Coast vessels
Ballast water technology testing on East Coast ships is a partnership with academia and industry to test ballast water technologies. All ballast water funding will go towards establishing new technology platforms and maintaining existing ones. Maritime Administration (MARAD) participates in partnerships with industry and academia to address invasive species transmission via ballast water and develop practical control mechanisms.
