Performance and Analysis of Concrete Bridge Railing using Conventional and Composite Reinforcement Materials

The objective of this research is to assess the structural adequacy, strength and overriding potential, of the railing section using both the current National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 350 guidelines and for the newly approved ones. The project will also evaluate the use of fiber reinforced polymer materials (FRP) for future reinforcement in bridge railings.
