Research for AASHTO Standing Committee on Highways. Task 287. Roadmap for Winter Maintenance Research

The objective of this project is develop a roadmap of strategic/business needs for snow and ice control.  The roadmap can then provide a basis for identifying near, medium, and long-term research needs.  The research will involve a workshop of the different groups involved in snow and ice control.  Work has just begun on identifying candidate participants in consultation with the AASHTO Highway Subcommittee on Maintenance; the workshop is expected to be held in June or July 2010, with project completion expected by the end of October 2010.
