Health Risks of Transportation-related Emissions: A GIS Assessment
Transportation-related emissions are major sources of toxic air pollutants. Although much effort has been put into the development of air pollution dispersion and exposure health models that address aerosol-related effects to children, little has been done to link the models with a Geographic Information System (GIS) for health risk assessment. This project fills this gap by conducting a real world case study of health risks due to exposure to vehicle emissions.
