The Final Report is organized into two volumes. Volume 1 is published as NCHRP Report 611: Seismic Analysis and Design of Retaining Walls, Buried Structures, Slopes, and Embankments. Volume 2, which presents the proposed specifications, commentaries, and example problems for the retaining walls, slopes and embankments, and buried structures, is available for download only.. The objective of NCHRP Project 12-70 was to remove the limitations of the current specifications through the development of analytical and design methods for the seismic design of retaining walls, buried structures, slopes, and embankments. The report fully documents the program used to develop the design procedures.
