Research for the AASHTO Standing Committee on the Environment. Task 22. Land Use Forecasting for Indirect Impacts Analysis

The objective of this study is to review, evaluate, and summarize available approaches for transportation project build and no-build land use forecasts; to identify best practices; and to develop suggested methodologies based on best practices. Methodologies should cover comparisons of population size and composition; land use distribution; and location and timing of growth.
