Moisture Damage
The objective of this research project is to determine the affinity of asphalts and modified asphalts to aggregates through evaluation of mechanical and thermodynamic tests. Develop test methods to determine the rates of diffusion of moisture through asphalt binders, mastics, and mixtures. Characterize the mineralogical and chemical properties of the materials.
