GPS Travel Time and Delay Data Collection and Analysis (2008-09)
This phase of the project follows what has been accomplished during previous years. That is during the months of September, October and November of 2008, peak travel time data on all the roadway segments will be automatically collected. This year uses two cars each equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. Each roadway segment was be traveled at least four times (twice in the AM and twice in the PM) for an accuracy of +/-2mph with a 95% confidence level. Also for Summer 2009 travel data from all major roads that are used by summer summer travelers were collected. Data was collected on only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This report gives a data summary sheet and Geographic information System (GIS) database.
