Criteria and Tools for Sustainable Highways
The purpose of this task order is to identify the characteristics of a sustainable highway and to develop tools, procedures and techniques that can be incorporated into standard practice to make highways more sustainable. This task order will support the work of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Planning, Environment and Realty (HEP) and will be used to inform actions of the Federal Highway Administration, State Departments of Transportation, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, and other transportation stakeholders.
