Cumberland Gap Tunnel Inspection

The scope of work will involve scanning the tunnel using ground penetrating radar and conducting water tests in various locations 3-4 times per year. The ground penetrating radar (GPR) work will provide information regarding the growth of the void areas. The water chemistry testing will provide detailed information regarding the chemical imbalance of the ground beneath the concrete pavement and give insight into how much material is dissolving on a daily basis.
