Simplified Shear Design of Structural Concrete Members

The objective of this project is to supplement the LRFD methods for shear design with procedures providing a direct solution for transverse and longitudinal reinforcement of concrete structures of common proportions. Recommendations for additions to the LRFD specifications and detailed design examples illustrating application of the proposed specifications shall be provided. The specifications shall be applicable to precast concrete strengths up to 18 ksi and cast-in-place concrete strengths to 10 ksi.
