Field Testing and Baseline Modeling of the Owensboro Cable-Suspended Bridge

The Owensboro cable-stayed bridge is to be opened to traffic in the near future. It is important to understand and document the long-term behavior of the structure before it has been subjected to traffic loadings. To accomplish this, it is necessary to collect baseline vibration data on the structure. This vibration data will be used in modeling the structure to generate the signature of the bridge. The objective of the research is to produce an "As-Built" bridge signature to evaluate current and future behavior.
