This proposed study will identify best practices and any existing guidelines and standards on historic bridge rehabilitation versus replacement. The study will also include recommendations (based on these best practices and guidelines and standards) on how engineers, transportation planners, and preservationists can make informed decisions concerning historic bridge rehabilitation versus replacement.
