Evaluation of Pavement Damage Due to New Tire Designs
The objectives of this research projects are to:(1) to quantify pavement damage due to different tire and axle configurations commonly used in Illinois, based on the Finite Element Method; and, (2) conduct a detailed analysis to determine the damage caused by overweight vehicles and their impact on the pavement.
