Research for AASHTO Standing Committee on Highways. Task 212. Development of a Model Drivers License Handbook
This study developed a number of modules for inclusion in individual state's driver's handbooks. The final materials for this task include documents and images on the topics of Intelligent Transportation Systems, Sharing the Road with Bicyclists, Sharing the Road with Large Trucks, Tips for Older Drivers, and Work Zone Safety. Additionally, high quality images developed specifically for this task, as well as images obtained and adapted from other federal and state open sources are included. The materials have been submitted to AASHTO for distribution. The materials are provided in two formats: as Word documents with images embedded, as well as pdf versions. The respective image files are also submitted in both large format png and eps formats so that the end user will have access to print-quality images. The clients may also conceivably alter the eps format images to better suit their needs. All files are available at the links below for downloading.
