Cost-Effectiveness and Performance of Overlay Systems in Illinois

The objective of this research project is to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of traditional overlay systems used in Illinois and to evaluate recent reflective crack control strategies through laboratory, field demonstration projects, and LCCA. A preliminary guide to assist the pavement engineer in the selection of rehabilitation techniques to control reflective cracking will be developed.
