Simplified Live Load Distribution-Factor Equations-Phase II
The objective of this project is to extend the recommended LRFD live-load distribution-factor design equations for shear and moment developed in Phase I and to provide implementation assistance to the AASHTO Highway Subcommittee on Bridges and Structures. In particular the contractor will explore the application of using the proposed I-girders LLDF's for tub girders. In addition, the contractor will calibrate the equal distribution method for one-lane loaded, for interior and exterior girders, for moment and shear, as has been done for the lever rule.
