Metropolitan Transportation Support Initiative (METSI)

METSI was created in September 1999 as a technical work program to conduct topical transportation research, provide technical assistance, and provide education and training to the state of Illinois, IDOT, and other transportation and planning agencies in the state of Illinois. Specific research and related activity topics include: transportation demand management and commuter choice benefits, regional planning, highway operations and planning, congestion research and attitudinal surveys, and public-private partnerships.
