Investigation into Freezing-Thawing Durability of Low Permeability Concrete with and without Air Entraining Agent
2 types of cements (Types I and IP) will be selected. 2 Iowa DOT mix proportions, C3-Wr-C for Type I cement and C3-WR for Type IP, will be modified to obtain concrete mixes with different water-to-binder ratios while other concrete components are kept the same. The air void system, permeability, and freeze-thaw durability of the concrete with or without an air entraining agent will be tested. All concrete mixtures will be controlled to have the same slump.
