Shear Behavior of Lightweight High-Performance Concrete
This FHWA research program focuses on LWHPC in the gap of equilibrium densities ranging from conventional lightweight to normal weight concrete. The shear behavior portion of the investigation involves testing 15 AASHTO girders composed of LWHPC produced using aggregates representative of those available in North America. The result of the study will be to recommend changes to the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification relevant to LWHPC.
